After a brief two week hiatus, The Indulgent Islander Podcast is back with Episode 8: Mexican and Tex-Mex! Tim and I start off by interviewing one of my favorite local foodies, Luis Escobar of May River Group, Engel & Völkers... Luis has ties to several of our local Mexican restaurants (past and present), and brings unique insight into how these establishments operate, what changes they've made to better serve their customers, and how he promotes them and other local businesses in his real estate endeavor to showcase the lowcountry lifestyle to potential clients. In addition to this week's "top picks," we also talk about the newest addition to May River Crossing's burgeoning food scene, Flatbread Grill & Bar, and a brand new takeout kitchen in town that just opened yesterday, Lowcountry Kitchen!
